Liverpool One

Yesterday I ventured over to the new Liverpool One retail development.  Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed browsing around Debenhams and John Lewis I was disappointed with the lack of cleanliness in the area.  After getting off the bus on Whitechapel I walked up to Lord Street and couldn’t believe the state of the filthy stained pavements.  Thousands or even millions must have been spent on the new dark granite slabs but already they’re dirty, littered and stained.  The City had many Standard Liege fans yesterday and I wonder what they thought?  In other major European cities, the pavements are wet cleaned every night, why isn’t someone getting this sorted?  Come on Liverpool City Council, get cleaning!
